Based in new Boston headquarters, Margie Frasier to expand Semafone’s global footprint while bolstering strategic partnerships
BOSTON and CNP Expo, Orlando, Fla.– May 25, 2016 – Semafone, which provides secure payment software for contact centers, today announced the appointment of Margie Frasier as the Senior Vice President for Global Partnerships and Alliances. With more than 20 years of channel sales and technology experience in the telecommunications industry, Margie will be responsible for managing strategic alliances and building new world-wide partnerships. Additionally, she will focus on increasing partner enablement and launching the company’s international partner program. Coupled with the expansion of Semafone’s global footprint with the recent opening of its North America headquarters in Boston, this appointment underlines the company’s high growth expectations world-wide.

Semafone’s innovative technology creates a secure zone for payment transactions, effectively removing card data from the call center or other business operations, reducing the card data environment and enabling easy compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
Using Semafone’s patented payment platform allows call centers to conduct and record calls as usual by enabling customers to input their card details privately and securely via their phone keypad. The software masks the dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) digits with a flat tone, masking payment card data or personally identifiable information (PII) in accordance with PCI and other international regulations for safeguarding sensitive data. By removing the sensitive data from the environment, the Semafone solution mitigates the devastating financial or reputational risk caused by data breaches. Prior to joining Semafone, Margie served multiple roles including Global Alliance Manager, in more than a decade of service for Acme Packet, a leader in session delivery network solutions; and spent several years with Nortel Networks and Shiva Corporation (acquired by Intel) delivering next-generation communications capabilities, globally.
