Boston, MA & Guildford, UK; August 19, 2019 – Semafone®, the leading provider of data security and multi-channel compliance solutions for contact centres, has been named the gold winner as the most innovative company of the year – large and medium category in the 2019 Best in Biz Awards International.
Semafone was recognized for the following milestones between 2018-2019:
- Grew Global Customers and Partnerships: Global organizations rely on Semafone’s Cardprotect solution® to offload compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and keep customer data safe. In 2018, Semafone acquired marquee new customers across the insurance, retail, financial services and telecommunications industries throughout Australia, North America, the UK and Europe.
- New Australia Office: In October 2018, Semafone furthered its commitment to serving its international contact centre customers, announcing it had opened new offices in Canberra, Australia. The office serves as a customer support hub and provides more efficient around-the-clock service and support to Semafone’s global customer base. The Australian office enables Semafone to perform time-critical security patches when it is most convenient for customers around the globe.
- GDPR Educational Campaign: As a U.K. based company, Semafone was early to recognize the significance of the May 25, 2018 enactment of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). However, the company found that many firms outside the U.K. were unprepared to comply with the regulation because they did not understand that it can apply to them as well. To address this, Semafone launched a global contact centre educational campaign, releasing resources (including two eBooks and a webinar) to ease the burden of GDPR compliance.
Semafone also recently introduced an innovative omnichannel solution, Cardprotect Relay+®, which enables businesses to securely accept payments through digital channels such as the website, email, webchat, social media, SMS, QR codes and more. This new, cloud-based multi-channel payment solution enables businesses to securely accept payments through the customer engagement channel of their choice for a superior customer experience, while simplifying PCI DSS compliance.
Additionally, Semafone’s flagship product Cardprotect Voice+® became recently available in the cloud for the U.S. market. The availability of pure cloud and hybrid delivery models for call and contact centres enables faster, more scalable, cost-effective deployments that strengthen payment data security and vastly simplify compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). In addition, Semafone introduced Rushmore™, an out-of-the-box and fully supported appliance for hybrid cloud that allows contact centres to experience the fast and easy deployment benefits of the cloud while keeping their telephony systems on-premises.
“Semafone has transformed payments for organizations across all industries, in more than 26 countries around the world,” said Gary Barnett, CEO, Semafone. “This recognition is another testament to how Semafone’s unique and innovative solutions are enabling businesses to transact with their customers in any channel, while delivering a frictionless and secure experience. We’re committed to staying the leader in contact centre data security and compliance for years to come.”
Semafone was selected out of almost 300 public and private companies from all sectors of the global economy and more than 30 countries that submitted for the Best in Biz Awards’ 7th annual international program. This year’s judging panel included writers and contributors to such publications as Computer Hoy (Spain), Data Breach Today, HT Mobile (Israel), Huffington Post, IAA Magazine (United Arab Emirates), NDR (Germany), Small Business IT (Canada), TechRadar (United Kingdom), as well as other outlets from Australia, Canada, India, Indonesia and United Kingdom.
