Semafone has won the METAward (Merchant Emerging Technology Award) Start-up category.
The award recognises solution providers who deliver the most innovative, cutting edge technology for managing payments and risk in electronic commerce. After an extensive assessment process by the Merchant Risk Council (MRC) three vendors, including Semafone, were shortlisted and invited to present at the MRC annual conference in Las Vegas. Finalists’ products were judged on their level of innovation, positive impact on the industry, ability to make e-commerce safer, ease of use and versatility. Semafone won the category.
Semafone specialises in making contact centres more efficient, safe and profitable through the reduction of the cost and burden of PCI compliance by removing the contact centre entirely out of scope of PCI regulations. The solution also contributes to enhanced customer service, without the need to impose excessive restrictions on staff.
Winning this award is a tribute to our whole team. The market for our product is growing and it is an honour to receive this accolade from the MRC for our contribution. We would like to extend our thanks to our employees, our partners and our customers for supporting us as we grow from start-up to industry leader.
– Graham Thompson, sales and marketing director of Semafone.
Organised by the Merchant Risk Council (MRC), the METAwards were launched in 2011. As a winning entrant, Semafone will also be presenting at the MRC European Congress in Dublin later this month.
