Tim is an experienced director of technology start-ups in both product and service focused sectors.
Tim has been the CEO of Semafone since 2009 and has led the company from a UK start up to an international business that spans five continents. He has helped secure Series A and Series B rounds of funding from various investor groups including the BGF and Octopus. Under his leadership, the company has secured global partnerships and won clients that span a range of industry sectors including major brands such as AXA, BT, Capita, Harley Davidson, Next, Rogers Communications Santander and Sky. Prior to joining Semafone, Tim was COO at KnowledgePool Group, the UK’s leading provider of managed learning services where he helped complete a successful turnaround in 3 years. Tim graduated from the London School of Economics and has an MBA from Manchester Business School.
John is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ financial and commercial experience working within fast-growing technology and telecom companies.
He has worked with businesses spanning mobile and fixed line Telecoms, Manufacturing, SaaS and Telematics. John joined Semafone from the Nowtel Group, a provider of fixed line telecom and MVNO services, where he was CFO, having previously held the post of Operations and Finance Director of iHub, a provider of hosted IP telephony. John has considerable experience of leading teams to support profitable growth in rapidly developing businesses as well as leading funding initiatives to allow the businesses to expand. John began his financial career at PriceWaterhouse Coopers and holds a Biology degree from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Iain is Semafone’s Chief Operating Officer; responsible for all aspects of product development and delivery.
His remit includes research and development, build & production, implementation and customer support. Previously, Iain was the head of the PCI DSS programme at Sky, where he selected and implemented DTMF masking technology from Semafone across 14,000 call centre agents. Iain has also spent time as a consultant for BT, developing the company’s PCI DSS value proposition. He joined Semafone from Strategic Transformation, where he was a director for ten years.
Iain is responsible for Semafone’s global growth, including customer and partner success programs.
As Semafone’s Chief Commercial Officer, Iain leads the sales, partner and customer success teams responsible for revenue growth and market engagement worldwide. He has over 20 years’ experience in outsourcing, technology and consulting industries; leading international teams for organisations including Firstsource Solutions, SITEL and HGS. Iain holds a degree in Science from Kingston University.
Caroline is Semafone’s HR Director, responsible for leading the people agenda for our next phase of growth.
Caroline has over 12 years experience working in HR and has previously worked with a number of technology-focused SMEs across a variety of sectors including insurance, disruptive app-based technology, digital marketing, market research and financial services. With extensive experience in fast headcount growth she is responsible for shaping the company culture and providing direction on organisational issues and structure, role alignment, change initiatives and people strategy to facilitate growth on an International scale.
